Masaaki Taira
Member of the House of Representatives, Former Minister for Digital Affairs
Masaaki Taira is a Member of the House of Representatives and former Minister for Digital Affairs, the first Minister for Cyber Security, and former Minister for Digital Administrative and Fiscal Reform. He currently serves as Head of the LDP's National Cybersecurity Strategy Headquarters, Deputy Director of the Digital Society Promotion Division, Chair of the AI & Web3 Subcommittee, and Deputy Chair of the Next-Generation AI & On-Chain Finance Task Force. A graduate of Waseda University's Faculty of Law, Taira is a third-generation produce market wholesaler in Tokyo's Ota Market and a former president of the Tokyo Junior Chamber of Commerce.
