Hikaru Ikarashi has been working for the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2007. He was stationed in Germany from 2009 to 2013 (Heidelberg, Berlin) and in the United States from 2019 to 2022 (Washington DC (World Bank Group)). He has held his current position since July 2025.
