Deborah was a member of the founding team at IBM Ventures and brings the Corporate VC perspective to NextStar Venture Partners (NSVP), an early-stage VC firm that invests in startups using AI to transform critical industries such as energy, industrial, healthcare, and cybersecurity. With True Global Ventures, Deborah leverages her Silicon Valley base to evaluate deals and support portfolio companies across industries transformed by AI. She has deep relationships with VC communities and entrepreneurs worldwide, and advises startups — especially those with female founders — from Silicon Valley, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. Deborah is in demand as a speaker and pitch judge, guest lectures at top MBA schools, is a Venture Partner at Mosaic Ventures, and advises Pegasus Tech Ventures' Startup World Cup. Previously she represented IBM's high-growth software and hardware businesses in IBM Ventures, sourcing startup deals for M&A, strategic alliances, and investment. Deborah holds degrees in cognitive psychology from the Universities of Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
